If you're new here and haven't seen the colorful parades of people in costume in the weeks leading up to Easter then here's a little intro for you:
The Fasching festival is like a big, fun party that happens in some parts of Germany, especially in places like Munich. It's a bit like Halloween, Mardi Gras, and New Year's Eve all rolled into one! People wear all sorts of crazy costumes, like superheroes, animals, or even just really fancy outfits. There are parades with colorful floats, loud music, and lots of dancing in the streets.

To add some historical context to the Fasching festival:
It has roots that go way back in history. It actually started as a way for people to celebrate before the solemn period of Lent. Lent is a time when Christians traditionally fast or give up certain luxuries as a form of penance and reflection leading up to Easter. So, before Lent begins, people wanted to have one last big party to enjoy themselves and indulge in all the things they might be giving up for Lent.

Ok now it's time to get the good stuff: Activities you can do with your kids this Fasching!
