Playgrounds in Munich

Munich has taken their commitment to creating an engaging and safe play environments for children to another level with the city's latest helpful tool! What I have always found difficult when looking up playgrounds is figuring out if they are baby or toddler friendly - especially the ones that have no pictures on google maps!

But now, with this new tool, you can filter by age groups and even key elements/activities such as water play, floor chess and even check if the playground has toboggan hills.

It's always great for us adults because you can even look up playgrounds with table tennis, football pitches, fitness courses and more!

How to access and use the tool:

Using the Munich Playground Finder tool is simple and straightforward. Here’s how you can make the most of this fantastic resource:

1. Visit the Playground Finder Website: Head over to the City of Munich’s playground finder website at Spielplatz München - you can find another version of the website here
2. Enter Your Criteria: Allow the tool access to your location and then use the filters to input your desired age group, amenities, and any special features you’re looking for.
3. Explore Your Options: Browse through the list of playgrounds that match your criteria. Click on each playground for more detailed information, including photos (not available for all yet), and directions.
4. Plan Your Visit: Once you’ve found the perfect playground, plan your visit by checking getting directions, and packing any essentials for a fun day out.

You can also use this tool to report damages and help the city amend them quickly!
