Flea Markets in Munich for Families

Updated 19 October 2026

Flea markets are a personal weakness of mine, and who can blame me when you can find amazing things for a reasonable price and give well-loved items a second life? Munich has a lot of them for families: children's flea markets in kindergartens, parish halls and schools, big indoor markets and neighbourhood sales where whole streets open their courtyards.

A note on dates: everything below comes from my monthly flea market lists for April, June and July 2024. The dates and times are examples of when these markets ran, not this year's calendar. Most of them come back every season, so check the organiser's website or the venue for the next date before you go. The same Montessori school in the Olympiapark also runs an autumn market.

The big ones

Midnight Bazar children's flea market

Munich's largest indoor children's flea market, in the Backstage arena. You will find a huge variety under one roof: toys, clothes, strollers, baby cars and bikes, and books, with freshly brewed coffee, drinks and small snacks.

📍 Reitknechtstraße 6, 80639 München
🎟 €3 entry
🕣 2024: 9:00–13:00 on 13 and 27 April, 22 June, and 13 and 27 July

The Little Munich

If you have older kids, this one sounds amazing. The flea market is hosted by the Kindermuseum München and run by kids, for kids: children aged 7 to 14 can have their own stall to sell whatever they like. Taking part is free. If your child wants a stall, find out how here.

📍 Forum Münchner Freiheit
🎟 Free
🕣 2024: 13 July, 8:30–14:00. Cancelled in case of rain.

Children's flea markets and bazaars

Almost all of these are free to enter and have coffee and cake for the grown-ups.

Neighbourhood flea markets

Neighbourhood flea markets are some of my favourites. They are a great way to meet people from your area, and they sell all sorts: children's items, household items, books, travel equipment and sometimes cute antiques. Entry is free. Here is where they ran in 2024:
